Disclaimer

Last updated: 22 August 2026. Temples Around the World is an independent directory and aggregator of places of worship and sacred heritage. This page explains the nature and limits of the information provided on this website.

Important: This website is provided for general information, discovery and educational purposes. It is not a religious authority, a legal adviser, a travel agent, an owner or operator of any listed place, or a substitute for information from the relevant religious institution or local authority.

1. Our role as a directory and medium

Temples Around the World operates as a marketplace-style directory and information medium. It helps people discover temples, churches, mosques, gurdwaras, synagogues, shrines and other sacred sites. We do not own, manage, represent, endorse or control every place listed, and a listing does not establish an agency, partnership, sponsorship or affiliation with that place or its religious community.

We do not sell admission, pilgrimage, worship, accommodation, transport or other services for a listed place unless a page clearly says otherwise. Any arrangement made with a listed institution or another third party is made directly with that party.

2. Religious, cultural and regional content

Descriptions of beliefs, deities, scriptures, rituals, histories, architecture and religious traditions may appear on temple detail pages and in religion, region and country pages. These descriptions are intended as neutral directory material. They do not represent an official interpretation of any faith, denomination, sect, tradition, community, country or region.

Religious texts, quotations, summaries and other cultural material may be collected or adapted from publicly available and open-source websites, public records, community resources, user submissions and other third-party sources. Temples Around the World does not claim ownership of religious scriptures or other third-party text merely because it is displayed or summarized here. Source material may remain protected by copyright, trademark, database rights, moral rights or other rights belonging to its respective owners.

Terminology and descriptions can vary by language, denomination, locality and community. Readers should consult the relevant religious institution, qualified scholar or local authority for authoritative, current or sensitive questions.

3. Accuracy, completeness and changes

We aim to keep the directory useful, respectful and current, but information can be incomplete, outdated, incorrectly attributed or generated from sources that later change. We do not warrant that any name, location, history, religious description, opening time, entry requirement, accessibility detail, fee, event, image, map, review or other content is accurate, complete or current.

Opening hours, access rules, dress requirements, safety conditions, worship schedules, travel conditions and local laws can change without notice. Verify important details directly with the relevant place or authority before relying on them or travelling.

4. No endorsement or professional advice

Inclusion, ranking, search placement, review, photograph, quotation or link does not constitute approval, recommendation, certification or endorsement. Nothing on this website is religious, legal, medical, financial, safety or travel advice. Use appropriate professional or official sources when the consequences of a decision matter.

5. User submissions and reviews

Users may submit listings, edits, reviews, photographs or other material. Users are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit that material and for ensuring that it is lawful, accurate and respectful. User content represents the contributor's views, not necessarily those of Temples Around the World.

We may review, edit, decline, remove or disable access to content at our discretion, including content that is inaccurate, infringing, offensive, unsafe or inconsistent with a request from a rights holder or site representative.

6. Copyright, attribution and removal requests

We respect the rights and traditions of religious communities, authors, photographers, institutions and other rights holders. Some content is linked to its source or provided under an open licence; attribution or licence terms may apply. No permission is granted to copy, republish, commercially exploit or misrepresent third-party material.

If you believe content is inaccurate, culturally insensitive, improperly attributed, unlawfully used or should be removed, please contact us with the page URL, the specific material, your relationship to it and the action requested. Contact: templearoundtheworld@gmail.com. We will review good-faith requests, but this process does not decide ownership or legal disputes.

7. Third-party websites and services

Pages may contain links to external websites, maps, social networks, booking services or other third-party resources. We do not control those resources and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices, security, products or services. Visiting or transacting with a third party is at your own risk and subject to that party's terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Temples Around the World and its owners, operators, contributors and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss, or for loss arising from reliance on directory content, use of a listed place, a third-party service, a user submission, an interruption, an error or an omission.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits liability, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or other matters protected by mandatory law. Where applicable law does not permit a limitation, that limitation applies only to the extent permitted.

9. Legal claims and applicable law

This disclaimer is not intended to prevent a person from bringing a lawful claim or to remove any court or regulator's authority. No website notice can guarantee that a person cannot sue, and users retain any rights that mandatory law gives them. Any dispute, claim or proceeding will be handled under the applicable law and jurisdiction, including any mandatory consumer or access rights that apply to the user.

By using this website, you acknowledge its role as an informational directory and agree to use the content responsibly. This disclaimer may be updated as the website, its sources and applicable requirements change.
